I Blogged This For YOU!! * (Professor Paul ) ft. Julian Smith

)

Greetings! Welcome to my blog Paul! As you can see, my past entries have been an unusual mix of personal reflections, opinions, and everything in between concerning society and fiction. In other words, this blogging hemisphere has been an unusual, but awesome, experiment towards engagement within the online community. If you're still hooked( and I mean REALLY hooked), then you should check back this weekend for the first entry of my maddening tale in humorous fiction. In the meantime, please enjoy this hilarious video from "Julian Smith".

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!

WHY AM I USING ALL CAPS LOCK??!!!! To tell you a short, but ridiculous, tale of course. Once upon a time there was a writer who was awful at managing his thoughts between blogs. In the end, everything fell apart and the evil witch turned him into the most awkward of turtles. THE END!

Fortunately, such a tale does not have to have such a miserable ending ( despite everyone's love of hard-shelled reptiles). To evade such a fate, I have decided to dedicate each of my three blogs for specific subject material. The changes will occur as indicated below....

* Musings of an Amateur- will highlight philosophical, theological, and ethical reflections pertaining to life and the role of the believer in Christ. Expect the most serious of discussions, debates and reflections to be examined. Current events, from an editorial perspective, will also be discussed.

* Vertigo- This blog maybe the nerdiest of them all. For those who are absolutely engaged with everything relating to science, literature, film, and music.

* Metamorphosis- expect personal thoughts on writing, and maybe some short fiction, to be the main emphasis of casual reading. And yes, the exploits of my adventures away will be moved to this alleyway of the blogosphere.

- Sorry that I've been unable to post anything REAL interesting today, but I've been a little short of time dealing with work and semester preparation. Please check frequently for updates! Thanks.

A Reflection on War....

 Hello curious readers,

Hopefully you have understood the nature my previous circumstances based off of the last post. For today's entry, I will be sharing something a little controversial.  In fact, the "term" controversy doesn't even fully describe the essence of what I'm about to post. The video below is from the Japanese film "Barefoot Gen": an intricate anime that follows the lives of a family caught between the societal threat of nationalism and the horrors of nuclear destruction during the conclusion of "Word War II". Currently, I have decided to reserve my views on war, as complex as they maybe, for a later day in the semester. Instead, I would be interested in hearing your views on such a difficult subject. How does the nature of war affect your perception of justice? Does religion, philosophy or ethics play an intricate role in your response to violence? Do you believe in a form of "just" warfare, "necessary" warfare, or "pacifism"? Since this is an open forum, please regard the dignity of others through your dialogue and restraint against verbal abuse.

Warning: The following images reflect realistic, and otherwise accurate, imagery concerning the destruction that occurred August 6https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=BfJZ6nwxD38, 1945.

The Return.........

My fellow readers,

  If there is a remnant of you out there, I sacrificially  give you my sincerest apologies. For the past seven months, dreadful trials have fallen upon me as a battered ship upon uncharted waters. The tales of my adventures would send chills down your spine, awe to your imagination, and possibly inspiration for true loyalty in following your commitments. I see that all this talk has not persuaded you in believing, what you may consider to be, inexcusable nonsense. Alas, I truly understand your momentary disbelief. My claims may be no match for your "proficiency" in the spheres of common sense and reason.  For this misdemeanor, I will gladly offer you attempt to offer you a weekly adventure pertaining to the unlikely events that have availed my weary "lost" soul. This will be my only defense. In addition, I will return to the task of sharing my reflections upon life, music, literature and the humanities. Until we meet again, I wish you well (That is if we do meet again).
